Hello - I checked the file you suggested but there was no comma in the file after that segment of code - it was already gone. Perhaps you removed it in ver. 2.0.7? I just upgraded. See attached pic - I circled the problem areas in IE9 - icons missing and "+" missing.

2. CP does not add any sharing links in emails, only approval/disapproval link if the poll is moderated. probably your email client is showing them.

1. I need to remove the sharing options for facebook, etc. also the rss feed. When I try to uncheck all the options for sharing the checkmarks just come back even after I have saved.

2. When e-mails go out with poll creation, etc. they include sharing links, but I can't see where to configure the e-mails to utilize our facebook info. rather than yours.

The error I see in console is

The line in components/com_communitypolls/templates/default/scripts/cj.polls.min.js line 535

The line is ending with comma, remove that comma. But I am not sure if this fix works as the same code is working on my machine with comma there. Try removing that comma.

Not that I know of. However, I just noticed that none of the icons display either, only the text for "Home Categories My Polls Submit New Poll".

That would need few code changes which cannot be explained here. What it would need is to get the last answerer's id and get the avatar. However that is not efficient way. Instead, we should create a column in jos_answers_questions namely last_answerer and insert the answerer id everytime a new answer is added. So it can be easily retrieved without querying additional DB queries. Adding last answerer part is being done currently so you need not worry about it, only change you need to do is change user avatar to answerer avatar.

Hello, when creating a poll using IE 9, the + symbol is missing to create a new poll answer. It is fine with Firefox, Chrome, and Safari. I tested this on IE9 with two different laptops. See screen capture.

Maybe Im saying it wrong..I dont mean on the module, I mean the main component. I just mean the image next to each question...right now it is a default jomsocial avatar for the "Guest" which is the Asker. What I am asking is how I can replace the Guest/Asker avatar in the main CA component with the answerers...this would ideally be the last answerer to answer the question...see screen

So most probably your italian file is not recognized.

Check if there is any error in your language file. All language strings must be enclosed in double quotes and should strictly valid ini file.
Also check if there is any folder components/com_communitypolls/language, if yes, remove it.

If I am not mistaken, the above site only shows top answerers not the askers. You can use CA Top Users module to display the top answerers.

You can use any avatar component such as jomsocial, kunena or you can simply use gravatar if you have no such extension installed.

I want to hide "Resolved Questions" and display "Recently Answered" questions in its place. So there's "Open Questions" and then "Recently Answered Questions" on the homepage.

It seems the jQuery is not loading into IE 8 or 9 into the surveys.

It works perfectly with others browsers...

The buttons "back - continue" are not active.
I've been playing with all options of the plugin "CoreJoomla - jQuery Plugin"

The CoreJoomla Framework API Library is also installed.

You can access with $answer->created_by but not created-by. Further it is impossible to determine which user is top user in case your site only has guests as answerer.

I guess the better question would be how do I access the "answers" object and properties? because I would also like to have the actual answer below the title...I have tried to use "$answer->created-by" for the avatar in the open_questions.php file but it just gives back null..not sure if that makes sense....I am not an oop php pro so any help would be appreciated.

I tried out the modified files you sent me and decided that I would prefer to stick with the ShareThis integration as I believe it is a better sharing solution than AddThis.

I added a small piece of code to view.html.php around line 133 as follows:

All the conditional does is check if the question has a description. If so it uses it as the meta description (and in the sharing text). If not, it just repeats the question title in the meta description (and in the sharing text).

In the previous version, it used to strip off all html content silently and hence you might have not faced the problem or you might have used Joomla 1.5. Recent version is upgraded for Joomla 2.5 support and some changes related to processing html content were introduced.

however the main issue here is your editor. it should not add the border property automatically which is what the cause for this issue. Which editor you are using now?

I have no exact date as of now but it is less than 6-8 weeks as this is going to be a major feature release.

You need to go to surveys page, click the number in Responses column of the survey list. This will show you the list of responses received, the status and date it was started. You can delete the responses from there.

I just purchased Community Polls, but it only shows the download section for Joomla 1.5. The download section for Joomla 1.6 and above is showing as blank.

What did I pay for? When you make the purchase, there is no Joomla version listed. It leads people to think that they are buying Community Polls for all Joomla versions.

Yes, you are correct. This hack will not work. The only way is to correct the corrupted description. If you are frequently facing the issue with your editor, I suggest you to change it to something better such as JCE.

With community polls enabled, the Tweet is formatted incorrectly with the large Twitter button but correct with the +Share link. With the Twitter link I get this exact Tweet (using Polls 2.0.3):

I suppose the second part is correct, showing the link, but the tag should not appear.
