Ideally, that should be the right behavior as the internal URLs do not have any issue with spamming.

testing.. works okay for usual pasted URL 'text's... but when I tried pasting one that was a copied Chrome bookmark, it crashed a bit.

and got this back

The same link pasted fine the next time ( after the "quarantine period" for that new user was over).

I made a new user and set them to 3 posts probation period.

first post I pasted in the text of a local URL, posted ok

second post I pasted in the text of an external URL. Post was sent for moderator review, as expected

third post I tried pasting the external URL I copied from a chrome bookmark: Featured

( that post crashed as shown above)

fourth post I pasted the same external bookmark - it posted fine, as expected ( because the three post probation period was over for that user..) So, something in the URL test code doesn't like pasted bookmark HTML..

PS: FYI, 3.3.1 doesn't solve the 'missing username on first post in a thread' issue - which is actually more urgent for us

Username issue: I fixed it and will refresh the release shortly.

Bookmark: I guess it is because the user is redirected to the topic that he created but is not yet published. I changed the behavior to redirect to the listing page when it is moderated.
