Question about Kunena migration...

OK, I have purchased CjForum, and installed it on our local development server, freshly cloned from our live server.

( Joomla 3.8.10, PHP 7.1.19 )

So the migration from Kunena is proceeding... 3000 topics, 15,000 users migrated OK.

Now its in the middle of "syncing data now"... all told the test migration has been running about one hour so far.

Questions:

1) when Migration is completed, I will go back and do the forum configuration ( it's all set to defaults at present). Was this a good decision?? Or should I have configured CjForum before running the migration??

2) when it's finished, I would like to delete the old Kunena forum. Am I correct in assuming that this data migration is copying all the old forum attachments to a new location, not just linking to them? ( I want to be sure of what I can delete...)

3) anything else I should know about, clean-up wise?  ?

TIA
