I surrender! -  I have installed and reinstalled the CJForums - they work  - but the "My Stuff'  - My Profile and My Reputation links  result in a 500 error (Huge white screen with a zero) -   I do NOT get the 'nice' user page that the demo shows.. 

    Latest Joomla   php 7.2  -  warp template - and YEARS of experience installing Joomla apps..   I surrender!
