If you enable the parameters for publishing a question in the component settings, the design breaks down on the site. Sitebars are moved to the site's basement. It seems to me that css styles are not specified for this tab.

    The publishing options are rendered by Joomla. Further, the layout can be overridden by the individual templates. If your template overrides the layout, you need to fix it.

    I don't see any problems with my template. I also want to say that tabs are not friendly with adaptive design. Always and everywhere when switching to mobile design, tabs pile up on top of each other, and sometimes even spoil the design of any template. In my opinion, if you have made a statement about full adaptation, then you should strive for this and not abuse the tabs. To do this, there is an accordion that is always adaptive to any screen resolution.

    This also applies to the main module of the component. The module is always located in a narrow sidebar and its tabs look very bad. An accordion would solve this problem.

    Unfortunately, the publishing options are handled by Joomla which still utilizes Bootstrap2 classes unless your template implements them on their own style. Hence I made that comment. Here is the code of publishing options.

    <?php

    if($showPublishingOptions)

    {

        JHtml::_('bootstrap.addTab', $this->tab_name, 'publishing', JText::_('COM_COMMUNITYANSWERS_PUBLISHING', true));

        ?>

    <div id="publishing" class="tab-pane">

    <div class="row row-fluid form-horizontal-desktop">

    <div class="span6 col-md-6">

    <?php

    echo $this->form->renderField('featured');

    echo JLayoutHelper::render('joomla.edit.publishingdata', $this);

    ?>

    </div>

    <div class="span6 col-md-6">

    <?php

    echo $this->form->renderField('language');

    echo JLayoutHelper::render('joomla.edit.metadata', $this);

    ?>

    </div>

    </div>

    </div>

    <?php

    echo JHtml::_('bootstrap.endTab');

    }
