I have created a submit quote menu link but it takes me to the quotes main page instead of to the quote submission.

This is the link structure that the menu generates:
/index.php?option=com_communityquotes&view=quotes&layout=form&Itemid=395

Clicking on the submit quote link found within the header bar, generates a different link though:
/index.php?option=com_communityquotes&view=quotes&task=form&Itemid=311

Note that the first one uses layout=form, and the second one uses task=form. Second should be correct. Do you know why this issue would be coming up and my menu link isn't forming correctly? I am assuming someone else would have brought this up if it were an issue within the component.
