We are pleased to announce Community Polls v4.0.0 RC 1 release. This is the first release candidate of the next generation polls system. Though this is not yet the stable final release, this can be safely used on production level servers if you can bear with minor bugs.

We are pleased to announce the Community Quiz v3.5.0 release. This release includes few new features along with many bugs fixed. This release adds a most requested feature - Import and Export Quiz.
Now you can export any quiz to an xml file and later import it to your site or any other site using Community Quiz. The app will automatically detects if the quiz already exists and updates the values inside the importing xml file instead of creating new quiz. You can manually add new questions to the xml file using your favorite xml editor and import to the existing or new quiz. You can export the quiz from reports section on backend.

We are pleased to announce Community Quiz release v3.4.0. Please read the following instructions before upgrading to the new version in case you are already using Community Quiz component.
Categories: The new version will now uses Joomla categories API for categorizing quizzes. So you can make use of all functions that are available with standard Joomla categories. The installer will automatically upgrades to the new category system if you have any existing categories and also updates all quizzes.
Permissions: The permissions system is revamped and added few more permission settings for more customization. You need to reconfigure all permission settings in Community Quiz Options if you are upgrading from an earlier version.
Addon Modules & Plugins: All modules and plugins are updated to support new version, please download and upgrade them as well if you have any previous versions installed.
So download the latest version and don't forget to let us know your feedback.

We are pleased to announce Community Surveys release v3.6.5.
This release adds support for EasySocial component. Now you can show user avatars from EasySocial along with linking user names to EasySocial profile. Also you can award points using EasySocial points system, deduct points for survey credits from available points in user's EasySocial profile.
Another new feature added in this release is the user selections on consolidated report shown. User can now see his answers along with consolidated report after he completes the survey. Ofcourse the consolidated report will be shown only if it is enabled in survey options.
So get the new version from downloads section and install it.

We are pleased to announce the Community Answers v3.0.4 release. In this release we added another new feature which allows you to allow viewing answers only to the question author. You can make use of this new permission setting along with existing view answers permission setting to efficiently manage viewing permissions on your questions.

Community Polls has got full makeover with a new release, introducing CP v4 beta 1. We have rewritten top to bottom to fully utilize Joomla 3 API features and the power of ACL.
This release is a full rewrite and is not backward compatible with earlier releases. An automatic migration will be initiated if you are installing on existing version of Community Polls. There are lot of new features added, removed redundant features and also updated the existing features. To summarize,
New Features Overview
- Joomla categories system migration
- Joomla tags support
- Full ACL support at component/category/poll levels
- Revamped front-end and back-end to streamline the UI with Joomla UI
- Complete customization options at component/category/poll levels
- New WYSIWYG BBCode editor in place of existing bbcode editor

- End of Voting Message support
- Be simple approach with UI, voting etc. No more blocking popups.
- New router and urls structure (explained below)
Removed Features Overview
- Multipoll Layout: This is redundant as you can insert multiple polls on a page using Anywhere code or Random Poll module
- Mighty Touch support: As it is no longer developed
New URL structure with new Router:
CP v4 not just got makeover for its features but also for its core structure. In this process, we have rewritten the router file which may break your existing urls. Now the urls are smarter, beatiful and SEO friendly.
Community Polls will automatically detect all old urls and automatically redirects to the new urls. A permanantly moved header is set so that search engines can update the new urls. There is no additional steps you need to make.
Joomla 3 only
This is a Joomla 3 only version. In an attempt to prepare for the next LTS version of Joomla, this release is developed only on Joolma 3 APIs. Since Joomla 2.5 support will end later this year, we will continue to maintain the existing CP v3 version along with this version, however the Joomla 3 specific features, like tags, will not be ported to the previous version.
Testing purpose only
This release is still in beta. Though it is fully tested for any security issues and bugs, it may stiill contain few bugs. So please use this release for testing purposes only. In case you are already using CP old versions, this is a good start for your to check how your migration will work. If you are building new websites, it is recommended to start with this release if you are okay with any small bugs.

Update (2014-05-18): Beta 3 is available now.
Finally, we need your feedback, suggestions and bug reports so that we can go for final release as soon as possible.
