Revision of Survey Invite and Monitoring Process

Hmm, I posted this the other day but I don't see it. Here it is again if something got lost in the interwebs.

OK I think this would take some work, but it would add some great features. I am so excited that you are open to this type of input.

Use case: I administer surveys to clients, who are almost certainly not registered on my website.

Feature requests, along with my subjective priority:

  • When importing emails, have the option to import them into a group directly (Low)
  • When importing emails, add the ability to import additional data that is passed through as a question type to the download (Low)
  • In onymous surveys, pass email address through to download (I thought this was present but I am not seeing it now) so this can be used as a unique identifier (High)
  • Be able to store multiple invites/reminder emails (already possible I think?) and to then select them for a particular invite campaign (High)
  • Be able to schedule sending out email invites (Medium)
  • Be able to send reminders to all non-respondents whether they have started the survey or not (High)
  • Be able to schedule sending out reminders (Medium)
  • Conceptually separate survey from survey campaign. By that I mean I might use one survey for multiple clients, and so I might send it out to one group with a particular invite and reminders, download these results and do an analysis while also doing the same thing for another client. As it is, surveys *are* the campaign, so I have to have a unique identifier one way or the other to separate out answers by client. If a campaign is the thing we are setting up, we can use the survey, associate it with a campaign, unique invites, reminders, schedules, reports and downloads. I can get there now with a lot of off-component work, but this would make an easier-to-understand work flow I think as each thing is a component in the campaign. (Medium)
  • A "test email" feature to pop up a window to enter your email and send it out in its current configuration to make sure it looks right (Low)

So putting it all together...

I create a number of surveys that might go to many clients each. A client asks for a survey to be administered and sends me an Excel file with the names and emails. I create a campaign, upload the recipient's emails, select the survey that is to go out, create a custom invite and reminder, and schedule when those are to go out next week. When I close the survey, I download the responses for that campaign for my analyses. Meanwhile, I might have many other campaigns of the same survey running at the same time for multiple other clients.

I hope that all makes sense! Please feel free to contact me with any questions!
