  • "Create an article" link does not work

CJBlog menu item "Create an Article" works fine.

But, use the menu and go to Blog Categories or to Blog Category, then use the in page link "Create an Article", and that will not work. The link generates a strange URL  https://domain_name_dot_com/index.php/ur-blogs/blog-categories?view=form&a_id=0&layout=edit&return=aHR0cHM6Ly9idWlsZHRoZXdhbGxvcmZhbGwub3JnL2luZGV4LnBocC91ci1ibG9ncy9ibG9nLWNhdGVnb3JpZXM/dmlldz1jYXRlZ29yaWVzJmlkPTg=

  • Cj Blog Favorites & followers

Hi all, i'm actually on a community site project and i found CjBlog very useful and decided to use it.

Only one thing is missing : the blog or bloggers favorite and following. Favorite is present for content but not for one blog or a blogger.

I haven't anytime to develop it actually but if this feature isn't scheduled for futur version, i will taked the time later.

So, if somebody can informed me on the code and files used for favorite article content :

    - i saw there the cjblogs_favorites sql key in database

    - i saw favorite code used in plg_content_cjblog

    - some functions in com_cjblog/site/controllers/article.php

Folllowing and followers will not be difficult to develop after that.

So if somebody can details favorite article coding ?

    Thx.

  • CjBlog - changes to "Account"

    Suggestions for CJBlog:

    1) The "Account" title is confusing because normally "Account" just means things like password and profile.  The hidden subtitle is "My Stuff," which I suggest should be the main title which is visible because it really does contain "my stuff" like my articles, my favorites, etc.  With the "Account" title, people don't know the "my stuff" is there unless they click on "Account".

    2) "My profile summary" seems to just display an article category listing, and does not appear to do anything with user profile. Perhaps, it should just be called "Profile" and link to the user's profile. Or, maybe I'm missing something.

    3) Regarding documentation -- Perhaps the wiki should state the CJblog only works with Joomla's TinyMCE editor and not with JCE editor.

Thank you for considering these suggestions.

  • CJBlog integration with JomSocial

What are steps to integrate CJBlog and Jomsocial 4?

I am novice to both Jomsocial and CJBlog and would like to know detailed steps to integrate both.

  • CJBlog link & config issues

I'm attempting to get CjBlog set up, and am running into some strange problems.

Links appear ok when you mouse-over them, but sef converter (router?) keeps turning them into trash (and I'm not sure if it's the CJblog router, or the main joomla one).

    System:
    IIS on Server 2016
    PHP 7.2.1
    MySQL 8.0.11

Downloaded and installed CjBlog from the corejoomla website (have also checked the git repo).

    Here's a list of what's not working:

    • My Stuff dropdown: My Profile Summary link is badly formed (http://<site name>/index.php/cjblog/profile/btmtest) and shows same page as the Blogs link (diff urls, same content)
    • My Stuff dropdown: My Favorites link doesn't get changed (remains as.../index.php/cjblog/profile?id=0&layout=favorites), but takes you to the cjblog profile page, summary tab
    • CjBlog Profile Page - Edit Profile button yields a "Check-out failed with the following error:" and no error text.
    • CjBlog Profile Page - Download My data button yields a corrupted zip file with the following string at the beginning of the zip file "<br /><b>Notice</b>:  Trying to get property 'avatar' of non-object in <b>E:\WWW\nwf-joomla\components\com_cjblog\models\profile.php</b> on line <b>482</b><br/>"
when I strip off the bad data, the zip extracts and has a bunch of similar errors in index.html (errors for each piece of data in the non-existant profile object)
    • All of the links on the tabs end up looking like ".../index.php/cjblog/profile/btmtest?tab=articles", and don't take you to proper place

I've created a non-visible menu with all of the CjBlog modules in it, with appropriate names (same as the demo site here).

Any direction to look at to solve this would be greately appreciated. The website is internal only at the moment (there's no outward facing name yet). I suspect it's something easy to fix, but I've exhausted every configuration option I can find...

If you need to see it, I can give you internal name & an external IP to stuff into hosts, along with temporary admin rights.

    Thank you for your time.

  • cjblog posts detected as homepage

if you check the link below you will see that the blog posts get detected as home page. I have created the template such that home page will show some module positions which are not supposed to be seen on other pages but the blog posts being detected as homepage means the module positions also show up on the blog posts.

how to ensure that the blog posts actually show up as blog link and not sub link of home page

  • CjBlog User plugin causes 404 error

I installed CJBlog, and enabled it all.  Then, when a member logged into Joomla from the front end, they were given 404 error.

I disabled all of CJBlog.  Then, I enabled each part of CJ Blog, one item at a time, and tried to login from the front end. And cleared all Joomla cache between each attempt. It was the User - CJBlog plugin that caused the login problem.

  • Date Display Options

I just installed CjLib and CjBlog yesterday on our site to format the blog page and have been searching for a way to change the date options in the list to no avail. Each article in the category list shows "Posted on 6 months ago" or similar for the date, whereas the default Joomla category list showed the actual date.

The date format under List Layouts does not make any change. I also tried changing the language and template to eliminate Joomla issues but the issue persists.

I read in some release notes about changing date options on pages but I have been unable to find this or any reference to it in the wiki.

Viewing the source shows this but if the files are overwritten in an update I'll have to change it again, plus I havent searched where to make this change.

    <span class="text-muted cj-article-info"> Posted on 8 months ago</span>

Does anyone know if this can be modified? Thank you in advance to anyone that has any ideas.

  • does not exist

    Hi

I installed CjBlog – 2.1.0 (and CjLib 2.8.5), but when I choose from the admin dashboard to open the points and points rules / badges / email templates, I get this message: Table 'anevenon_anevmap.' __ cjblog_points_rules 'does not exist Table' anevenon_anevmap. '__ cjblog_points_rules' does not exist (and a similar message for the rest).
    Do I make something wrong?

  • How can comments be enabled?

What do I do in the backend admin so that people can comment on posts we add using cjblog?

  • How can registered users post blog articles?

    Hi,

I'd like to use the CjBlog component to enable all of my registered users to post articles to the blog (possibly without any further approval). Right now the submit button is not visible for my registered users.

Is this possible somehow? If, yes please give me the high level instructions. Please note that I deleted Author and other built in user-groups and created my own specific groups under registered.

    Thanks,

    W.

  • Invalid controller

    Hello.

I've just install joomla 3.6.2 and cjBlog on local machine (no other components/modules/plugins - just new joomla and cjBlog). When I click on article's title in dashboard, I've got this error:

    [0] Invalid controller: name = 'article', format = ''

All standart cjBlog plugins are enabled.

    Any idea? Thanks in advance.

  • Missing file api.php error in CJBlog

    Hi,

I just downloaded the CJLib - pkg_cjlib_v2.5.6, CJBlog - pkg_cjblog_v2.0.0, Community Tools - mod_cjblogcategories_v3.0.0. I installed CJLib, CJBlog & Mod CJBlog Categories. My website stopped showing up. PHP Error log shows the following:

PHP Warning:  require_once(C:\Wamp\www\myweb/components/com_cjblog/api.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in C:\Wamp\www\mywebl\modules\mod_cjblogcategories\mod_cjblogcategories.php on line 43

I checked, the file api.php is in "components/com_cjblog/lib" directory. Changed line 43 to below and it works. Kindly confirm if this is an issue and what I did is correct.

    require_once JPATH_ROOT.'/components/com_cjblog/lib/api.php';

    Thanks
    Amal
