Hello Maverick I did a deep check of the functionality. It works well from the frontend, however I cannot create a new topic from the backend. Once you create a new topic from the backend and press SAVE or SAVE AND CLOSE nothing happen at all, unfortunately. Give me advise, please. In a case you need acces to live system again - just let me know. David

Thanks for your reply. I have upgraded to Joomla 3.5.1, however the problem persists. I am not able to create a new Topic from the frontend, because the button is missing. I can't even create it from backend, when I press the save (or save and close button) nothing happened. Please advice what to do. I have double checked all permissions, still no success.   Thank you in advance   David

Hello Maverick, I am on Joomla 3.4.8 (but the same issue on 3.5.1), using the latest version of CJForum 1.3.1. All permissions are setup correctly, however the button to create a new topic is missing. I have tried to use previous version, which works fine however there is another bug - when you add reply to topic, you are redirected to the home page. Everything was working fine before Joomla update 3.4.8. Could you please give an advise how to solve this problem? Thanks David

Hello Maverick,I am trying to add avatar to CjForum and facing the following problem:1) Adding avatar by registered user from the frontend    When registered user with configured permissions cliks on "Edit" link (right from his name), there is an following error message:    Check-out failed with the following error:    (but without error spec.)    2) Adding avatar by administrator from the backend    When I click CjForum -> Users, there is an option to edit user profile for each user. When Edit profile screen opens, it again gives    me an error message as in previous case:    Check-out failed with the following error:    (but without error spec.)      When I try to add the picture and click "Save" I get the following error:    Save failed with the following error: Duplicate entry '0' for key 'PRIMARY' SQL=INSERT INTO `bm2ju_cjforum_users` (`id`,`about`,`handle`,`avatar`,`signature`,`gender`,`location`,`birthday`,`banned`,`twitter`,`facebook`,`gplus`,`linkedin`,`flickr`,`bebo`,`skype`,`metakey`,`metadesc`,`metadata`) VALUES ('0','','myprofile','w62yr5sn70pxgcpkf3qn9yvqy.jpg','','0','','1970-01-01','1970-01-01','','','','','','','','','','{\"robots\":null,\"author\":null,\"rights\":null,\"xreference\":null}')3) Some formatting help    When user replies using "Quote" reply button then the following text appears in quotes "User Name wrote" followed by his original    post. Could you please give a hint how to change the font and size of this text?    Secondly I would like to make a bigger space between each post, i.e. I would like to add a space under Quote, Quick reply and Reply buttons so the next post will    shiftlower on the screen.        Thank you for your help in advanceDavid

Many thanks, Maverik. I will do recommended hacks. However if you could add options to disable them from admin backend in a future release of CjForum, that would be great. David

Hello Maverick, I would like to make some modifications in CjForum which perhaps would not be difficult to make, however it is not possible to simply do it from the backend administration of Joomla. Could you please give me a hint how to:1.    Remove button "Quote" under each submission.2.    Remove button "Reply" under each submission. I would like to use "Quick Reply" button only.3.    Remove check box "Subscribe" under the "Post your reply" form.4.    Remove button "Toggle editor" under the "Post your reply" form.5.    Remove button "Permalink" under each submission.6.    Remove buttons "Like/Dislike" under each submission.7.    Remove button "Thank you" under each submission.8.    Remove Topic, Replies and Points under each submission   Thank you in advance for your help. I have installed it, configured permissions and everything works fine except two thinks. I want to use moderated forum with moderated topics, therefore permissions are setup as follows: Standard registered user is allowed to:View, Reply to Topics, View Replies and Rate (Like/Dislike) – but he is not allowed to create new topics. Forum admin is allowed to:Create, Delete, Edit, Edit Own, Edit State, Edit Own State, View, Reply to Topics, View Replies and Rate (Like/Dislike) Problem No 1 In this configuration Standard registered user can reply via “Post your reply” text window at the end of the page followed by pressing “Post Reply” button. He can reply via “Quick Reply” button displayed under each reply as well (which moves the page to “Post your reply” text window again (followed by pressing “Post Reply” button). However when he push “Reply” button displayed under each reply, the new reply windows appears, but in this case after pressing the “Save” button he gets the warning, that saving is not permitted. In a case a Standard registered user gets a “Create” permission this problem disappeared. However I don’t want to give Standard registered user a permission to create new topic. This is a problem for me, because users will not distinguish between "Reply" and "Quick Reply" button and in case of "Reply" button they will get an error. I suppose there is some ACL bug in the code and the temporary workaround could be hiding a "Reply" button. Could you please give me your advice? Problem No 2 When I login as a Forum admin with permission described above the “Actions” button appears under each reply with three options: Edit, Unpublish and Trash. If I try to edit any reply posted by me I can do it and save changes without any problem. However in case I try to edit reply of Standard registered user I get the error 403 page stating that I haven’t permissions to do it.   Additional question How can I remove buttons under Post your reply text window (Article, Page Break, Read More and ToogleEditor buttons). I am using standard Joomla Editor-TinyMCE. I hope my description is not very confusing. I have double checked all permissions and all is done as described above. Therefore I will appreciate your help. With regards David
